oOCH IN MUSKOKA - overnight Camp

Facing cancer can make a kid grow up awfully fast. When they are faced with difficult circumstances, Camp Ooch gives these kids what they need most – the chance to be defined by who they are, not what they have.

Summer Camp:
Three, two-week traditional sessions for children with cancer (ages 6-14)

Camp Teomul is a program specifically for children who have had a sibling die from a cancer diagnosis. Our goal at Teomul is to provide an active, outdoor experience where campers can learn through shared experiences, connect with each other and shine in a supportive and caring environment. We acknowledge at the opening of each session that all campers here have had a similar experience in losing a sibling, outside of that the focus is on friendship and fun.

Bereaved Family Specific Programs:

  • Teomul Summer Overnight Camp (1 Week)
  • Teomul Weekends at Camp          (Winter & Fall)
  • Teomul In-City                               (Bereaved Family Programs)

In addition to the Teomul specific programs, Teomul campers and their families are always welcome to take part in any of our other year-round Camp programs.

7Scape: A one-week Overnight Camp for recently diagnosed teens (ages 15-18)

Weekends at Camp (WACs): These fall and winter weekends are a great way for campers to get a "booster shot" of Ooch and for potential summer campers to experience a taste of Overnight Camp.

In City Programs - Ooch Downtown

Ooch Downtown offers programs in the evenings and on weekends for the whole family and is the only facility of its kind in North America! These programs are especially important for kids too sick to go to Ooch Muskoka or for whom going to Overnight Camp is just too big of a stretch. Ooch Downtown provides the positive benefits of overnight camp while staying close to home.

In City Day Camp - Ooch Downtown

In City Day Camp is a program for campers (ages 8-12). Activities include (but are not exclusive to) an animation workshop, behind-the-scenes tours of the Roger's Centre, cooking classes, rock climbing, ball hockey and plenty of arts and crafts.

March Break Day Camp - Ooch Downtown

Each fun-filled day hosts a special visitor; a magician, some special animals or a professional artist! Playing parachute games on the roof, dressing up as superheroes and saving the world while making tons of new friends are just a few experiences you're guaranteed.

Summer Day Camp - Camp Robin Hood in Markham, Ontario

Day Camp is specifically designed for kids (ages 4-7). Facilitated by Camp Ooch staff and volunteers, Day Camp takes place at one of Canada's best day camps, Camp Robin Hood. In Hospital Programs

Camp Ooch provides year-round fun and interactive programs daily at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), McMaster Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital London Health Sciences Centre, for children (ages 3-18). With eight dynamic, professional, full-time Program Specialists complemented by committed volunteers, Ooch is able to deliver programs, seven days and four evenings a week to kids on the Oncology/Haematology floor.

Parents and Tots Program

Twice a week, Ooch runs a Parents and Tots program at SickKids in 8A. This program is for families with children under the age of four and is filled with fun, age appropriate activities. From songs and parachute games, to free play and bubbles, toddlers will enjoy every minute of it. In a clean, child friendly environment, it’s a great program for toddlers to socialize with children the same age and a great way to meet other families on the floor.

No matter where we go, we ensure that all of our programs provide challenging, magical and fun experiences.

In addition to providing programming at SickKids, we also offer weekly programming at the following healthcare facilities:

McMaster Children's Hospital

Children's Hospital London Health Sciences

Southlake Region Hospital
