Dana Marie Krook is the Managing Editor of Faze Magazine—Canada’s largest publication for young women 13-24. She leads a small but dedicated team to produce content for print, online and live events that entertains, educates and empowers. When not working, Dana can be found obsessing over yoga, cupcakes (sadly, the two do not go hand-in-hand), NTC workouts and writing her first YA-dystopian novel. Check out her blog at

I am participating in the 2014 Sporting Life 10k on Sunday, May 11 and raising funds to help send a child with cancer to Camp Oochigeas.

Camp 'Ooch' lets children with cancer focus on who they are instead of what they have by providing fun and meaningful experiences at no cost to their families.

Please help us make a difference in the lives of children affected by childhood cancer. Cancer changes a child's life, but so does camp. Thank you for your support!

About Camp Oochigeas

Camp Oochigeas, or “Ooch”, has been providing magical camp experiences for children affected by childhood cancer since 1983. Camp Ooch is much more than a summer camp. Ooch is the only residential camp in Ontario to offer on-site IV chemotherapy treatment and blood transfusions. Camp Ooch offers year-round programs for children affected by cancer in Muskoka, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), two other regional cancer centres and Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto.

As a registered charity receiving no government funding, this is all made possible by the generous support of fundraisers like you.
