Run for Free!

If you signed up to fundraise before January 15, your Run for Free goal is $75! Sign up after this date and your goal is $100. Reach your goal online by May 14th, you are eligible to receive a reimbursement for your race registration fee. 

Run for Free Rules and Regulations

In order to qualify to Run for Free, the $75/$100 goal cannot include any personal donations you make to your own personal fundraising page.

The registration reimbursement does not include HST or processing fees. All reimbursements will be issued by August 30, 2013.

Step 1: Create Your Online Personal Fundraising Page!

  • Sign up to fundraise through one of our fundraising challenges. You can get your school, company or family involved. 

Step 2: Register to Run!

  • Registration for the 2013 event is now closed!
    NOTE: donations made through the race registration site will NOT be counted towards your fundraising total.

Step 3: Start Your Fundraising!

  • Check out our Fundraising Toolkit to get you started! Funds raised through the Sporting Life 10k will go towards sending kids with cancer to Camp Ooch! We recommend that individuals to set their goal to $250, the cost to send one child to camp for a day, and for teams to set their goal at $3,500- the cost to send one child to camp for two weeks.

Online Fundraising and Offline Donations

You must have an online fundraising page to qualify for the Run for Free incentive. You can collect offline donations (cash or cheques) through a pledge form that will be added to your online total. These offline donations must be received by the Ooch Office by 5pm on May 13th, 2013 in order to count toward your Run for Free total. Read full details on submitting offline donations.
